OUR SERVICES
Trusted Home Services for Affton Residents
Academy Air has been serving homeowners throughout the St. Louis area, including Affton, MO, with dependable heating, cooling, plumbing, and drain services.
Air Conditioning Service in Affton
Affton homeowners dealing with a struggling air conditioner turn to Academy Air, a BBB A+ accredited HVAC contractor serving the St. Louis area. Summer humidity puts real strain on cooling equipment, and small issues left unchecked, from a failing capacitor to a dirty coil, tend to turn into expensive breakdowns once the heat sets in for good, so our licensed technicians diagnose problems quickly, explain what they find in plain terms, and keep your system running the way it should through the hottest months, whether the home is a small ranch or a larger property. That coverage includes routine AC maintenance, prompt repair when something breaks down, new system installation for homes replacing an aging unit, and thorough inspections to catch trouble before it grows into a bigger repair bill, since well-maintained equipment tends to run more efficiently and last longer. That is why we recommend an annual tune-up for most Affton households rather than waiting for the first sign of trouble. Reach out to schedule an appointment or request a free estimate on your next cooling service.
Furnace Installation & Repair in Affton
Winter in Affton puts real demands on a home’s heating system, and Academy Air has the trained technicians to keep furnaces running safely through the cold months. From strange banging noises to a system that only blows cold air, our team investigates the cause and gets it fixed without unnecessary delay or guesswork, using the right diagnostic tools instead of trial and error, and as a BBB A+ accredited company we back every visit with dependable, straightforward service and technicians who explain what’s going on and why. Our heating specialists handle furnace maintenance, repair, and installation for both gas and electric systems, along with inspections that check safety controls, thermostats, and internal components before small problems set in, since a clogged filter or a failing part is far cheaper to fix in the fall than a full system breakdown in January. We generally recommend having a furnace serviced once a year, so contact us to schedule your furnace service today and get ready for the season.
Plumbing Services in Affton
Pipes rarely wait for a convenient time to fail, which is why Academy Air offers plumbing help around the clock for Affton homes and businesses. Our trucks stay stocked with the parts needed to resolve most jobs in a single visit, and our licensed plumbers bring years of hands-on experience to every call, from a slow leak to a full system failure. As a BBB A+ accredited business, we handle everything from emergency repairs and general water heater service to full water heater installation and tankless upgrades, plus the annual maintenance that keeps a water heater running efficiently for years. Whether a pipe has burst overnight or your hot water just isn’t cutting it anymore, our goal is always a plumbing system that works the way it should. Our team stays available 24/7 to help Affton residents get back to normal, so give us a call to schedule service or ask about a free estimate.
Drain Cleaning & Rooter Service in Affton
Slow or backed-up drains are more than an annoyance in Affton; left alone, they can lead to bigger and costlier plumbing failures down the line. Academy Air’s technicians walk through the available options before any work begins, so homeowners know exactly what they’re paying for and why a particular fix makes sense, and with the right equipment and years of field experience our crews diagnose the real cause instead of guessing at the problem or replacing parts that don’t need it. Services include standard drain cleaning, water line repair, hydro-jetting for pipes clogged with grease or years of buildup, and camera inspections that pinpoint problems without tearing into your yard or walls. If you’re noticing foul odors, gurgling sounds, or sewage backing up into a tub or sink, it’s worth having a technician take a look sooner rather than later, so schedule a visit with Academy Air to get your drains flowing freely again.

What Our Customers Say
Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what homeowners in your area are saying about Academy Air.

a month agoI cannot recommend Demetrius Shaw and Academy highly enough. Demetrius came to provide our semi-annual HVAC maintenance. Demetrius was extremely professional, always wore shoe covers inside and took the time to identify issues outside the scope of his assigned tasks. Instead of just identifying them he took the time to explain them, the underlying issues, and to suggest corrective course of action. He provided transparent pricing before starting any work. Fast, honest, efficient and top notch service. Top marks across the board!

a month agoThe response time was good. They came out within 24 hours. The repair man was awesome. He told me step-by-step of what can occur and how much it would cost. So five stars thank you everyone and thank you for repairman

2 months agoI unfortunately woke up on my birthday to a flooded lower level after our main sewer drain backed up. I called Academy Air Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric, and even on short notice they had someone out quickly for a very reasonable service call. I received an estimate at 10:42 and an update that our technician, Isaiah, was on his way by 12:08. Isaiah was professional, kind, and got right to work. He quickly diagnosed the issue, cleared the blockage, and thoroughly tested everything afterward by running water and flushing multiple times to make sure the problem was fully resolved. What really stood out was that he didn't just fix the issue and leave, he took the time to explain what caused the backup and gave my husband and me practical maintenance tips to help prevent it from happening again. We really appreciated how knowledgeable, patient, and helpful he was. No one wants to deal with a sewer backup, especially on their birthday, but Isaiah made a stressful situation so much easier. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend!

2 months agoGreat experience! Had a loud unit that needed service, I called on a Sunday and they had someone out the next afternoon. John came out and was awesome. He did a detailed assessment and went over all options with their pros and cons. He truly was helping us decide the best option based on our situation and not pressuring us into buying more than we needed. I appreciated his professional opinion without high pressure sales, he was truly on our side. Highly recommend and will continue to use them for maintenance and repairs in the future. Stop looking, this is your company.

2 months agoGreat experience! Joe Vetter is my hero! It was an easy fix thankfully, but he was so kind and knowledgeable and went above & beyond to explain and educate me on the system & plumbing in my new home. I truly appreciate his help and expertise. Couldn’t have asked for a better technician. Will definitely be sticking with Joe & Academy for future plumbing & HVAC needs!

5 months agoClayton did a great job in installing the various components of by home backup system to include backup breaker, Interlock kit, power inlets, charging panel outlet and electrical system grounding. Anthony and David returned to complete the "future" task of the project a few weeks later to add another RV type outlet to the power station charging branch to permit turbo charging. They also added a "Return to Grid Power" sensor to complete the system. They also moved an outside GFCI outlet as I was having a deck extension added to the screen room. Similarly to Clayton's work, Anthony was meticulous, knowledgeable and extremely mindful of minimal disturbance to the home. Anthony also used this complex project to educate and train David, his apprentice, on tasks that he may not have otherwise had the opportunity to encounter. I commend their work and recommend them for similar projects.

8 months agoI had a great experience working with Anthony Dietz. He took the time to explain everything in detail, educated me on the issue, and walked me through all of my options without any pressure. I really appreciated how clearly Anthony broke things down so I could make an informed, confident decision about what was best for my situation. It’s refreshing to work with someone who is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely focused on helping rather than just selling a quick fix. I would absolutely recommend Anthony to anyone looking for an honest and professional electrician. Oh did I mention he was friendly? lol

8 months agoThis company is amazing!!! They came out and got the old units uninstalled and had the new ones in with a few hours. Extremely polite and professional. Walked us through how the new units worked and how to set them for optimal efficiency and performance. The two installation techs were a true blessing to me and my family. Thanks again Joe and Ryan for your time and help. And thank you Academy Air for your service.
