Academy Air Welcomes Brooks Plumbing Company to the Family

Academy Air is proud to announce an exciting new chapter: the joining of forces with Brooks Plumbing Company, a name synonymous with integrity and excellence in plumbing services for nearly a century.

Founded in 1926 by Albert Brooks, Brooks Plumbing began as a residential plumbing company during a transformative time in American home life—when outhouses were being converted to indoor plumbing. Albert’s legacy was carried forward by his son, Leonard Brooks, a Washington University graduate with a BA in Business Management. Leonard not only expanded the company’s expertise into sewer and water line repair/replacement and general remodeling, but also helped incorporate the business as A. Brooks Co., Inc. in 1972. From its original basement shop at 739 Leland Avenue, Brooks Plumbing grew into a respected staple of the community, known for quality craftsmanship and customer-first values.

Now, as part of the Academy Air family, Brooks Plumbing’s legacy of dependable, skilled plumbing services will continue—strengthened by Academy Air’s commitment to excellence in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services across the region.

Together, we’re building on nearly a century of service, innovation, and trust—bringing even more value and care to our customers.
